Okay, well they are not all babies anymore but in my eyes, they always will be. My life has never been the same since.
Isaac David Thayer entered into this world on September 24, 2003. Him I will call, my "thinker".
He has not stopped thinking, pondering or questioning the
things of this world since he entered into it. Weighing in at 9lbs, 11oz and 22in, he was the largest of all three
of my children. His delivery into this world was not an easy one but well worth
it. Isaac was named after his Daddy, taking his same middle name, David. I
never in a million years thought I would have a boy. I didn't really grow up
with any boys and I had no idea what to do with them. Ready or not, I would
quickly learn.... Isaac has taught me many
things about the in's and out's of boys. They like to play hard.
They like to eat a lot! And, the best part, they love their
mommy. The bond between a mother and her son is impenetrable. Isaac has such a
hold on my heart, it will never be severed. As he grows older, he grows wiser.
Isaac is truly an old spirit. As I said before, he is my thinker. Often Isaac
will be thinking, worrying or pondering ideas much older than his time.
Sometimes, I have to remind him to "just be a kid" and not to worry
about everything. He always wants to be with
the adults, have adult conversation and he has to know every detail of
everything that is going on. Hmm....who does this remind me of? I was always
told that I would have a child just like myself. I'm not complaining. Isaac is
8 years old now. I honestly don't know where all the time has gone. My wise mom
always told me that all you have to do is "blink" and 20 years will
pass away. In this case, eight. I remember the day he was born. I remember
every detail about him. I remember holding him in my arms for the first time
and every thought and emotion that I felt. Feels like it was only yesterday. Wow!
Time flies. My biggest piece of advice...hug your kids every day, tell them you
love them and take lots of pictures to scrapbook every moment that passes too
quickly. Isaac is doing amazing things. He is recently a baptized member of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is truly, a fine example to his
family and friends. He is a cub scout and relishes in every aspect of it. He is
in Second grade and is excelling. He is a math whiz, he loves reading and he is
a true leader in his classroom. He recently ran a cumulative marathon at
school. I am so proud of him. Isaac is also a leader at home. He can be a bit
bossy but he does try to keep everyone in line. But, most of all, he is such a
tender hearted boy. My favorite moments are when he curls up next to me, puts
his head on my shoulder and just wants to be close. I cherish those
moments....I love him more that he will ever understand. I would do anything
for him. He is my baby and my "Little Love".
Aidan Micah Thayer made his debut on May 13, 2005. Aidan weighed in at 9lbs. 2oz and was 21 3/4in long. I have a feeling he would have been even bigger but mom was induced early to prevent this from happening. From the time Aidan entered into this world and was placed on mommy's chest, their was an immediate, deep love for him. I knew in an instant that he was going to be special. The whole time I was pregnant with him, I was worried that I couldn't possibly love another child as much as I loved Isaac. This was immediately proven wrong to me when I first saw Aidan's sweet face and held him in my arms. Him, I will refer to as my "laughter". If anyone knows Aidan, you know that he is one funny boy. Whether he is cracking jokes or just plain being himself, you just can't help but laugh. This is one of the things I love best about Aidan. He brings so much joy and fun to our family. We are always asking ourselves, "where does he come up with this stuff"? He loves to sing, dance or just be plain silly. He is so loving too. He is the one child that I believe when he says that "he wants to marry me" or "never leave home". I could kiss his face a million times a day and he would never get sick of it. Aidan has a way about him that is kind and compassionate. He is a friend to all. He doesn't care what race, status or whatever you are, he is a friend to all. He also has a way with the "Ladies". To put it mildly, Aidan always has a girlfriend. His number one girl though, is Paige. You can find Aidan at any given time playing the Wii. There is nothing Aidan enjoys more than a good game on the Wii. Whether he is playing Just Dance or Bakugan, Aido loves his Wii. Aido, is one of many of his nicknames. There is Aido Potato, Winky, Winker Stinker and the list goes on and on. Aidan is in first grade now and loves every minute of it. He is very popular among his classmates. He loves math and of course recess. You can find him on the Chinese bars at any given time. He also has run an accumulative Marathon at school. He is quite the athlete naturally. Someday, he will be bench pressing me! I have a feeling that is not too far from now. Aidan loves his family and especially his little sister Bella. Although, those two can be like fire and ice, they love eachother deeply. Bella is either in his arms as he reads to her or running in the opposite direction when she sees him coming. I wouldn't have it any other way. He is my laughter. He is my "Aido Potato".
Isabella Jean Thayer was brought into this world on March 9, 2010. She was my smallest baby at 8lbs. 11oz and 21 in. long. Bella as she is known to many, is the girl I thought I would never have. Growing up, I always thought I would have a little girl. But after two boys, I wasn't so sure it was going to be a reality. I believe Bella was sent to me at just the right time, not my timing but someone else's. Her, I will refer to as my "strong one". Don't let her sweet, little face fool you. She is one bound and determined little girl. In her own words, she says, "My do it"! If she can do it, she will and if she can't, she will find a way! Her strength and determination will take her far in life. Bella came to our family at a very special time. I believe that as she waited to enter our lives, she spent much of her time in Heaven with her Nana. She learned much from her, I'm sure. That is where I believe much of her strength and independence comes from. Her Nana knew that she would need it coming into a family with two older brothers. As I mentioned before, I always wanted a little girl. I always wanted to have a relationship with a daughter as I had with my own mom. She was my hero. She was everything to me and I looked up to her so much. I can only hope that Bella will do the same to me. Bella is almost two years old now and her personality is blossoming! She is smart! Super smart! Too smart for her own good. She is fiercely independent and she really doesn't care what you think about it. It has to be Bella's idea or none at all. She has a way of ruling this house like nobody else. She definitely wears the pants. Daddy doesn't have to know. She can melt your hurt in an instant. She is very polite as well. Everything she says, she says please afterwards. Except for after NO! She loves to play with her babies. She will make a great Mother one day. Bella will always hold a special place in my heart. She is everything I ever wanted in a daughter, plus some! She stands up to her name, which means beautiful. She is beautiful in every way. She is my "strong one".
